EURO 3000

This is a Bo'Bo' diesel-electric locomotive powered by a 2.390 kW engine supplied by EMD dedicated to passenger service with a maximum speed up to 200Km/h. This new platform allows to compliant with all existing EU regulations (emissions, noise, crash, fire, …). Exist the possibility of a version prepared for freight applications with a maximum speed of 120 km/h.

In line with all European standards
The EURO 3000 was designed by the world's leading specialists in the railway sector – Vossloh and EMD. These two companies have already supplied hundreds of customers around the world with diesel locomotives that guarantee a high degree of availability, optimum life-cycle cost and the added assurance of a ready supply of spare parts for the rest of the locomotive's service life. This platform naturally also complies with all European norms (for example: emissions, noise, crash, fire), is suitable for UIC-gauge lines and capable of running on all European railway networks.

Low operational cost, easy maintenance and eco-friendly
Minimum maintenance costs due to:
  • modular design permitting easy assembly disassembly and complete module changes
  • amply dimensioned components with a long service life and low maintenance needs
  • maximum standardisation of spare parts and maintenance processes
  • easy access to components

As maintenance needs have been reduced to a few simple operations, the locomotive can be in service for long periods of time. Its low fuel consumption furthermore due to the highly efficient diesel engine, traction system and optimised auxiliary systems.

Comfort and Safety
In addition to this impressive set of technical features, the EURO 3000 could provides optimum driving conditions with a spacious cab offering increased visibility. The driver's cab was designed in accordance with the EM12663, UIC 651 and DIN 5566 standards and includes a state-of-the-art, European-style driver's desk. Finally, the cab is separately air-conditioned, assuring isolated and optimised thermal conditions for the driver.
