Another megacontract for Vossloh España
Valencia orders 20 metro trainsVossloh España has been awarded a contract for 20 metro trains by the rail operators of the province of Valencia (FGV). The order is worth around €100 million. In both 2004 and 2005, Vossloh España, the Spanish subsidiary of the Vossloh Group’s Locomotives unit, had sold 10 metro trains to FGV for delivery by the end of 2006. The reordered trains are likewise series 4.300 and each comprise three railcars fitted with state-of-the-art technology.
In September of this year, Angel Trains had placed an order with Vossloh España for 18 of the new diesel-electric EURO 4000 locomotives and so the Valencia deal is Vossloh España’s second megacontract inside only a few weeks. Says Vossloh AG’s CEO Gerhard Eschenröder: “This repeat order by FGV emphasizes the vast confidence commanded by our products while underscoring once again the solid progress and promising prospects enjoyed by our Locomotives unit.”
