Vossloh and Angel Trains announce the order of eighteen Euro 4000 diesel-electric locomotives
Vossloh and Angel Trains Group jointly announced today that Angel Trains has placed an order with Vossloh España for 18 new-generation EURO 4000 diesel-electric locomotives, with an option for another 12 (thus resulting in a potential total order of 30 locomotives). The firm order is valued at over € 55 million. The locomotives will be built at production facility in Valencia, Spain. Angel Trains' specialist locomotive leasing unit, Angel Trains Cargo, will lease the locomotives to rail freight operators in Spain, France, Belgium, and Germany, as well as to passenger train operators in Germany.Deliveries will commence in February 2008 for completion by the end of 2010. Comments a pleased Vossloh AG CEO, Dr. Gerhard Eschenröder: “This first order is a clear reflection of the market success of the new product line; already today it will ensure that over the coming years our Locomotives unit will be kept busy.”
